Cardboard Recycling for Companies in Munster

Does your company produce a lot of cardboard waste? Commercial Waste Systems has a solution for your Munster business, cardboard recycling. Cardboard recycling is an environmentally friendly process that keeps corrugated cardboard and paperboard out of the landfills. Corrugated cardboard is typically what cardboard boxes are made from and paperboard makes things like shoe boxes and cereal boxes. Most cardboard can be recycled such as paperboard, boxes, plates, tubes but contaminated boxes with oil or grease cannot be made into a high-quality cardboard.

Why should you recycle cardboard in Munster?

Cardboard recycling in Munster, Indiana is environmentally friendly because it reduces landfill space, saves oil, and saves trees. To make one ton of cardboard, it requires three tons of wood, think about that. Three tons of a natural product to make one ton of a man-made product. This is the number one reason your Munster business should be recycling cardboard waste, recycling cardboard waste produces new cardboard and saves trees. A single cardboard fiber can be recycled seven times, but you cannot recycle cardboard forever because the paper fibers get shorter every time. However, you can add new paper fibers to the cardboard pulp during the recycling process to strengthen the material before producing new cardboard.

The earliest known inhabitants of the area were the Potawatomi. Although a village did not exist in what was to become Munster’s town boundaries, a trail along the dry sandy ridge now known as Ridge Road was well traveled by the indigenous inhabitants.
